SI Joint Right Hip (backward)

SI Joint Right Hip

Sacroiliac joint misalignment may cause severe pain throughout the hips and legs, which is often worse while walking, standing or running.   This may occur as a result of trauma to the hips or pregnancy, which can cause the pelvis to expand and bones to become misaligned.

Effective treatment for this condition can often be achieved through conservative methods such as spinal manipulation, physical therapy, massage and nonsurgical decompression.  Your doctor will decide which treatment is best for you after evaluating your condition.  It is important to treat this condition thoroughly to prevent permanent damage and degeneration to the hip.

When the right hip is positioned slightly backward in relation to the left hip, additional stress is placed on the sacroiliac joint, which can cause the cartilage that covers the bones to degenerate. This imbalance places additional weight on the lower hip and sacroiliac joint that can cause irritation and pain.
